Tornapa taibhse | Turnip ghost

Forget pumpkins! Turnips are where it's at! This creepy little guy is based on the original Halloween | Samhain Turnip lantern. Before the import of the carved pumpkins from North America, the Irish Samhain festival used turnips that were decorated and turned into lanterns with candles inside. I never had to carve a turnip myself but people still do carve them and paint them (tough work!). I do think the turnips are a little creepier than the jack o'lanterns what do you think??
